Opportunities to join the Lemmon Lab

The Lemmon Lab welcomes motivated students and researchers at all levels. Please read the position descriptions below and reach out to Professor Lemmon directly with any questions.

Graduate Students

The Lemmon Lab is currently accepting Ph.D. students for research in integrative biology. Students may enter through the Ecology and Evolution Program or the Neuroscience Program in the Department of Biological Science, or through the Department of Scientific Computing. For more information, please see below:

Postdoctoral Researchers

There are two routes into a postdoc in our lab.

Open searches. Funded openings are advertised widely. Follow the instructions in the advertisement to apply. An internal committee of lab members and Professor Lemmon reviews applications, ranks candidates, and invites a short list to interview. Lab members participate in the interviewing process.

Fellowships. Researchers can also join without an open search if they are awarded a federal or private-foundation postdoctoral fellowship. To discuss applying, contact Professor Lemmon and include your Statement of Interest and your CV.

Undergraduate Students

Opportunities for undergraduates to join the Lemmon Lab include FSU's Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP), Directed Individual Study (DIS), and the Honors in the Major (HITM) Program. Freshmen and sophomores should apply through the UROP program. Other students should contact Professor Lemmon directly about openings.

Research Technicians

There are currently no research technician openings in the lab. Positions will be advertised on Florida State University Careers. Technician positions require a CV and a cover letter indicating your interest in the position.
